FAQ's:
What if fasting doesn't work for me?
You've already been experiencing some level of intermittent fasting, every day of your life! That is, assuming you don't eat while you're sleeping!
However, if you've found it hasn't given you the results you were hoping for, then there's room for improvement, and room to grow! There is much to be learned that can make the difference to make it successful for you.
I'm not sure I have the time to commit to this.
You'll have some book material, some course videos, 1:1 sessions, and certainly some logging requirements. But don't worry - it won't be super intense the whole time! The first few weeks are the most time consuming. And after that, you'll find yourself easing into a routine.
The beauty of fasting is that it's super efficient - you don't have to prep food when you're not eating! ;)
So even though we can expect some growing pains in the beginning, most people find a fasting lifestyle very freeing!!
I'm not sure if I want to commit to fasting forever.
Girl, join the club! What I can tell you is that over the last 6 months, I've felt better about my ongoing lifestyle than I ever have! It's given me a whole new perspective on working WITH my body in ways I didn't even know where possible. At some level, you will continue to fast forever - at least while you're sleeping!
If this feels like a fit for right now, then I guarantee you'll learn more about yourself and about how your body works, and that you can take with you forever!
How long does it take to see results?
You can expect to start seeing and feeling results quickly. In the first 2 weeks you'll be tracking your glucose levels and ketone levels pretty intensely, checking in with the group daily, and making adjustments as we go. In the 2nd month we'll make some changes with your plan and see how it works for you. By the third month, if not sooner, you'll start to practice some cruise control - less tracking, less intense, more practice with ongoing routines.
As with anything, the more you fast, the easier it gets, the more comfortable you'll get with it, and the outcome is cumulative!
